As a professional voice, speech, and dialect coach, I am all about meeting your actors where they currently are in their process with the creative team to empower each individual actor to approach dialects, complex text, and vocal extremes with confidence.
My role as a voice, speech, and dialect coach is to ensure your actors are clearly understood by the audience and are prepared to give their best authentic performances in each show. Some challenges actors may face that I can support include acting in accent, unlocking complex text (Shakespeare, Chekov, etc.), and supporting the voice to yell and scream through multiple shows.
If you feel your production could benefit from my services, or if you have questions regarding how I can support your directorial vision, please contact me!

I believe performers should be given the tools they need to make strong choices on stage at any stage of their learning. My workshops and classes create an environment for students to discover these tools and explore how to recreate these choices in a safe, supportive environment. Actors can use this training to deepen their connection to their work and experience noticeable growth in their performance. I believe students can achieve exciting “Ah-ha!” moments and discover new abilities through hard work, attention to detail, focus, and drive.
My areas of focus include:
- Voicework for Actors
- Phonetics (IPA) for Actors and Singers
- Accent & Dialect Intensives
- Intro to Advanced Acting skills
- Singing Actor cross-over
- Voiceover Technique
- Performing Complex Text (Shakespeare, Chekhov, etc)
- Vocal anatomy, function, and health

I love working with performers 1-on-1 to create noticeable change and growth in their voice and performance techniques. In private lessons, we will explore a strong foundation of breath support, speechwork exercises, and grounded acting choices that strengthen your overall performance. My goal is to help you discover and empower you to have a deeper range of sound and more complete ownership of your creative choices on stage, in front of the camera, or behind the microphone.
My students range from teenagers discovering the joy of acting to Equity professionals who want to sharpen their skills for their next audition. Regardless of your background, I can help you navigate choices and options to find what is best for your situation!
● Accent & Dialect Coaching
If you need to learn a specific accent for an audition or role, I will work with you to speak comfortably in your character’s tongue. I draw on several techniques to develop the nuance of a specific accent from a background in speech science and theatrical voicework pedagogy.
● Audition Preparation
I work with actors to feel confident and prepared for their next audition. We will focus on text analysis, speech, voice, and authentic character choices in a way that works for you for your timeline.
● Acting Lessons
If you are a beginning actor, or a professional looking to deepen their craft, we can work together to expand your imagination and deepen your connection to your instrument and your acting choices. No matter your background or experience, I am committed to helping you find approaches that work best for you.
● Public Speaking, Corporate Coaching
Great presentations require you speak with clarity and confidence in order to connect with your audience, whether these are members of your team, an interview panel, or a conference lecturer. Sessions will explore audience engagement and vocal support through voice and speech techniques and physical exercises that connect your sound to your entire body, so you can bring your authentic self to the front of the room or center of your remote screen.
“I am the teacher. I am not the model for what each individual voice “should” sound like.”

Teaching.
When an actor knows how a character breathes, they understand one of the most necessarycomponents to their existence.
At the heart of my acting philosophy is a desire to help students discover the impulses that vocally, physically, and mentally drive their characters to react. To begin the actor’s training, I lead students through the process of breaking down a character by introducing the components of actions, tactics, objectives, and stakes through interactive partner exercises and Meisner Repetition. With a strong foundation in place, students discover that their acting is a process that can be repeated, modified, and continually expanded for any given circumstance.
“The voice we use to speak, laugh, cry, shout, scream, yawn, and call out is the same voice we use to sing.”
– Joan Melton
Within my specialization of theatrical voice and speech pedagogy, I fully acknowledge the reality that, up until now, most of our history and training models are comprised of Eurocentric, Anglo-American references. These views were derived from an outdated “standard” educational system that was primarily intended for straight, white male individuals. This historic view certainly does not reflect the beautiful diversity I hear and see in my classrooms today. On the contrary, I believe each person has a unique story to share, and I am committed to creating an environment that is inclusive and empowering for every student.
